Andrew Strong

Born November 1973 in Dublin into a musical family, his father Rob Strong was one of the most pioneering rock singers in the 70’s. Andrew got into the music at the age of 11 forming a band with school mates called “Perfect Stranger” in 1987 & his second band “League of Nations” in 1989. In 1990, Andrew got a call from Casting Director John Hubbardasking him to come in and sing for Alan Parker …. Parker liked what he heard and kept asking Andrew to come back to sing After a week Andrew got a call congratulating him on getting the part of Deco Cuffe for “The Commitments”.

Andrew has been in the music business for nearly 30 years producing numerous hit albums. Recently Andrew has recorded with Golden Globe nominee Brian Byrne (who has with such international artists as Katy Perry, Bono, Barbra Streisand, Lisa Stansfield, Van Morrison, Sinead O’Connor, Vince Gill, Gladys Knight, to name a few just to mention a few) on his Golden Hair album. Andrew guested with Italian producer Corrado Rustic’ (who has worked with Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Johnny Lee Hooker, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Elton John, just to mention a few) on his solo album “Aham”.

Since 1991 Andrew has been touring consistently all over Europe and Australia sharing the stage with the likes of Bryan Adams, David Gilmore, Deep Purple, Elton John, Lenny Kravitz, Meat Loaf, Ray Charles, The Original Blue Brothers Band, The Rolling Stones & ZZ TOP but to name a few. In 2011 reunited with the cast of the Commitments for a series off sold out concerts In Ireland and the UK. Andrews powerful voice and energetic performances continue to enthral Audiences all over the world right up to this very day.

Andrew is back on tour in Australia in March 2018 followed by performing at festivals throughout Europe.

Andrew is currently working on new material for a new record to be released in 2019.
